GENERAL RULES

Each team shall comprise minimum 6 and maximum 10 players.
The match shall be played with 6 Vs 6 players.
If a team has limited players (< 6, but not < 5) then they are free to decide whether to play with limited players or to forfeit.
If a team has less than 5 players then they will be forfeited.
The players who’s names shall be submitted during team declaration will be only allowed to play. The names of the players should be declared by the respective society along with their photo IDs. The players should be only resident (self occupied owner or tenant) of the society and the captain of the particualar team will have to provide a written declaration for same.
The playing teams should report on the ground 30 minutes prior to the start of match. In case any team does not report, the other team will get a walk over.
Each game will consist of two halves.
Each half will be of 20 minutes. Entire playing time of the game will be 45 minutes including 5 minute half-time break.
Any extra time that needs to be granted will be completely on the discretion of the referees and the officials.
Each team will have a squad of 8 players; 6 paying and 2 substitues. Rolling substitues are allowed. Each team will have to inform the referee about the change one play in advance.
Referee’s decision shall be the final decision.

GOALS

Players can score a goal with any part of the body except with the arm.
The goal will be counted only if the entire ball crosses the goal line.
The decision to award a goal will be completely on the match referee.
If a player of the defending team puts the ball into his own goal, an own goal will be awarded by the match referee.
In case of any discrepancy the referee’s decision will be final.

HAND BALL

In case a player of a team (except the goalkeeper) touches the ball with any part of his arm from the fintertips up to the shoulder during the open play, the match referee will call a handball and award a direct freekick to the opposition team from the spot of the fault.
In case the ball touches the arm of the player, while the arm is in complete contact with the body of the player, the referee will allow the game to continue and no freekick will be awarded.
In case of any discrepancy the referee’s decision will be considered final.
The goalkeeper of both the teams can use their entire body, including his arm (inside the designated area) to stop the ball.

OUTSIDERS

During open play, if the ball crosses the designated area of play after touching a player, the referee will grant an outside kick-in to the opposition team.
The outside kick-in must remain within the designated area of the play, or else the referee will grant another outside kick-in to the opposition team.
The outside kick-in will be granted at the spot from which the ball leaves the designated area. A variation of half a meter on either side will be allowed.
There will be no height restriction for the kick-in.
In case the ball touches the net above, an outside will be awarded.
In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the referee will be final.

CORNER

A corner will be awarded if the ball goes over the goal line, without a goal being scored, and having the last touch by a member of the defending team.
The corner kick is taken to restart the play from the corner of the field of play nearest to the where it went out from.
There is no height restriction for the corner kick.

BACKPASS

Upon receiving a pass from his teammates, the goalkeeper is not allowed to touch the ball with his hands (even inside the ‘D’).
If he does, the referee will stop the play and award an indirect free kick to the opposition team at the point at which the fault was committed, even if inside the ‘D’.
However, the goalkeeper can use his hands to stop the ball in case he receives the pass unintentionally and/or off the head of his teammates.

OFFSIDES

The offside rule will not apply during the game.
The players are free to retain any position (in front of or behind the last defender), during the entire game.

CARDS

During the duration of the game the referee is allowed to show two cards, red and yellow, to book a player for a fault.
A player receiving a yellow card will be asked to leave the field of play for the duration of 2 minute.
A player receiving two yellow cards will be awarded a red card.
A redcard can be directly shown to a player depending upon the intensity of the fault committed and on the discretion of the referee.
Upon receiving a red card, the player will be asked to leave the field for the remaining duration of that particular match. The player may however be allowed to play the next game if the team qualifies.
A player is liable to receive a card if the player shows outward dissent to the referee’s decision.

TACKLE

Tackles upon a player are not allowed.
Slide tackles are not allowed.
Tackles from behind a player are not allowed.
Shoulder push is allowed during the game.
In case of a rough tackle upon a player, the player committing the tackle is liable to receive a card (yellow or red) depending upon the intensity of the tackle and on the discretion of the referee.
In case of a discrepancy, the decision of the referee shall be final.

PENALTY

A penalty can be awarded to the opposition team if a team commits a fault in their own ‘D’.
A fault may include a foul, handball, etc.

If a goal is conceded, the game will resume after a kick off from the half line, if the player misses then the game will continue from the opposition’s goal, against whom the penalty was awarded.
Penalty decisions are solely on the discretion of the match referee.
During the penalty kick, all players have to be behind the ball.

DRAW OR TIE

In case the score is tied at the end of regulation playing time, there will be a two minute break, after which the play will resume. The extra time that will be awarded will be divided again into tow halves of 10 minutes each, with a break of 2 minutes at half time.
In case, after the end of the extra time the score is still tied, penalty shootouts with sudden death procedure will be followed.
The penalty will be taken from the Penalty spot with the any keeper present.
The first team to get an advantage in the scores, after both the teams have been given the opportunity to score will be declared the winner (sudden death procedure).

RULES FOR EVERYONE

There should be the selected number of players on the court i.e 6 if extra players are on the playing area playing the sport the team will be disqualified
